So here is an ALL-IN-ONE guide for the

 new users of Redmi 1s.

Please read the important points 

carefully before starting doing.

Fundamental knowledge:

• Redmi 1s by deafult come with MIUI stable rom and updated monthly or may be bi-monthly.
• There is no developer rom like Mi 3. So u have to use only stable rom. There is no other way.
• The default recovery of MI3 is not so good and don't contain many features. So it is advised to use a CWM / TWRP recovery for your device.
• Rooting your phone will not void warranty and u can always unroot it and claim warranty.

1. UPDATE TO LATEST STABLE ROM 

• You can update to latest version using updater app.
• If u face any problem with ota update u can flash the latest stable rom following this tutorial.
• If you want can also flash china stable stable rom which is updated faster than Global stable rom.
• Some claims that china rom has more free ram and better than global rom. If u want can flash using the above same method.

2. ROOT YOUR PHONE

• You can root and unroot your phone following this thread.

3. INSTALL CWM

• You can flash CWM or TWRP recovery.
• Now you are ready to backup your whole rom and store it in your sdcard for future accidents.
• You can now what ever experiments on your redmi 1s. :-) Any problem just restore the backup ;-).

4. TO CONSERVE BATTERY, MAKE YOUR PHONE FAST AND LIGHT WEIGHT

• You can delete unwanted apps from system follow this thread.
• Now use SetCPU app to conserve more battery, follow this thread.
• You can save ram, battery following this thread.
• Use Greenify app to greenify apps and get more free RAM, follow this thread.

6. EXTERNAL SDCARD AS DEFAULT STORAGE

• It is helpful for plying big games and store data in external sdcard instead of internal sdcard.
• To make the external sdcard as default storage follow this tutorial.

5.  PHONE IN BOOT LOOP / DEAD STATE

• Follow this method to restore back you phone, if CWM restore not working.

6.  ACCESS REDMI 1s FROM PC

• Install moborobo and the required driver will be downloaded and installed in your PC. Now u can use moborobo to install apps directly from PC and many more operations.
