Check my previous thread about Ninebot Unboxing and review. In this thread I will just go through the Ninebot App and its features.
Download: Ninebot App (Play Store)
1. After the app installed on your phone, open it make sure Ninebot is on.
2. It will ask permission to open Bluetooth connection, so allow it.
3. It will then connect to ninebot automatically. Do all the steps, like login/signup a ninebot account etc. when prompted.
4. After that it will start a guide to get on to the vehicle, move forward, left, right etc.
5. After that tutorial is completed, it will open the main screen of the app.
6. In the main screen you can see a lock icon to lock the Ninebot.
Just tap on it to lock your ninebot and if someone tries to get on it it will throw him out ringing a alarm and vibration.
7. The lock will be replaced by spped of the ninebot if the ninebot is in running condition.
It will show you the current speed. The maximum speed is 16KMPH. If you go more than that the green circular speedometer will turn Red.
8. Tap on the up arrow present at the bottom middle to get more details of the ride, like how many hours you have ride the ninebot, average speed, maximum speed, mileage etc.
9. Tap on the speedometer icon on bottom left to go into speed limitation mode. You can set the speed limit from settings. By default it is set to 5KMPH.
10. On the right side bottom of the main screen you can see the remote application where you can remotely control the Ninebot.
11. The Remaining Milage tells you how much more distance it can go with this current charge.
12. The battery percentage is shown in the circular ring.
16. The circular ring also tells you in which direction you are going and hence act as a compass.
17. By tapping on the 3 dots, you can enter into the settings of the ninebot.
18. Using Speed Settings you can set the speed limit.
19. In the Lights Settings you can adjust any light related settings. Like you can turn off head light during day time to save batter, Turn off brake light, also can change color of the back light.
20. You can change the back light colors and pattern with predefined light modes. My fav is Full color breath.
21. I suggest don't play with the Sensor Settings.
22. In Other Settings enable the Power off if locked settings to lock the ninebot even if it is powered off. You can turn off the ninebot remotely without touching the hardware button on the ninebot.
23. You can check for firmware update from NInebot time to time.
24. Basic information shows the current status about the Ninebot. It is worth noting here s that the battery is from LG.
25. Speed and Mileage will show you the current status of speed and Mileage.
26. There are other options also available where you can see the basic informations, tutorial and guides again.
27. Ninebot has also started a Fan community inbuilt in the app. Where you can interact with other ninebot riders and can see how much they have travelled on their ninebot and they are ranked.
