Theoretical comparison:

Mi 4i Winner:

  • For photographers doing macro/close object photography as Mi4i has Manual focus, Mi4i is a clear winner over Redmi Note 3. Redmi Note 3 can't be able to focus on a thinner or small object.
  • People who don't like bigger and bulky phone Mi 4i is their choice. Mi 4i is slim with less weight, can do one hand operation smoothly, whereas Redmi Note 3 is big, needs 2 hand operation.

Redmi Note 3 Winner:

  • It can do multi-tasking smoothly and without any lag thanks to 3GB RAM. The Antutut benchmark is added below.
  • The fingerprint scanner adds an extra layer of biometric security to the phone.
  • 4050 mAh battery is the main focus in this phone. It lasts 12-14hrs easily doing more than normal usage which includes net access through fb, whatsapp,  youtube, qq, etc for 4 hrs and calling for 30 min or so.
  • The full metallic body gives a killer look to the phone. I like the golden color metal body. The matte finish at the back gives a good grip.
  • The 16 MP rear camera can take comparable photos in day time like Mi4i. So quality wise I can't differentiate which one is better. Below added some camera samples from Redmi Note 3.

Min. 1 day battery backup with above average usage.
