There are multiple roms available for Redmi 1s like AOSP 4.3, CM 11 4.4.4, Mokee 4.4.4, etc. and there is not a clear cut steps for how to use multiple roms as and when required by the users. So this is a step by step procedure for beginners how to play with the roms u like.

1. How to do a backup of your current rom?
Ans:
- Go to TWRP Recovery.
- Press on Backup button.
- Swipe the bottom slider "Swipe to back up" .
- Wait for some minutes for TWRP to make a backup of your whole ROM.
- Enjoy
2. How to Flash a new rom to your device?
- Go to TWRP Recovery.
- Press Wipe Button.
- Press Advanced Wipe
- Select the partitions Dalvik, cache, data and system.
- Then slide the bottom slider "Swipe to Wipe"
- Then go to Home. Then select Install.
- You can choose between which sdcard (Internal or external) see red outline.
- Then select the rom zip u want to flash. In this case I am choosing miui rom. See Green outline. (You can choose CM 11 rom, Mokee Rom zip or anyother rom for Redmi 1s in place of MIUI zip.)
- Then Swipe to Flash.
-Then Reboot
3. How to restore back your old rom from the backup?
- Make sure you have made a backup before doing this step.
- Go to TWRP recovery.
- Press the Restore button.
- Select the ROM backup you want to restore. (Here I have 2 backup one MIUI and other one is CM 11.)
- Then swipe to restore the rom u want to restore.
- Then Reboot.
